Things to do in Racine

The City of Racine is located in Southeast Wisconsin 26 miles south of Milwaukee on the shores of Lake Michigan. If you are active and like the outdoors, Racine is a place you cannot miss. Racine County recently received the following awards: All America City, Blue Wave Clean Beach Award, and Bike City U.S.A. Racinians like to spend their weekends biking, golfing or just soaking up the sun and listening to music at The Oasis located on Racine's North Beach. Just a few short steps from North Beach is the Racine Zoo (free admission), great restaurants with outside lakefront seating and Racine's historic downtown. Every first Friday of the month, from April to September, Downtown Racine hosts the First Friday's events where you can listen to live music while dining at a sidewalk cafe or browsing some of the great shops.
